About VisionTameside

Start Here – Go Anywhere

Tameside College and Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council are working in partnership on an ambitious redevelopment strategy to bring greater economic prosperity and transform learning and skills in Tameside.
The multi million pound master plan “VisionTameside” delivers a new exciting future for Tameside attracting new businesses, creating new jobs and future opportunities for Tameside Residents. Central to this plan is a transformational three phase development of the Tameside College Campus.
Over the lifetime of the project the College plans to build three new Advanced Learning Centres, based in Ashton Town Centre and at the Beaufort Road site. These new Learning and Skills Centres will be built in three phases and will offer people in Tameside “state of the art” facilities that equip them for the challenges of a changing economy requiring a highly skilled workforce.

Phase 1 – Complete

As part of Phase  1 Tameside College constructed two new iconic Learning Centres that reflect the changing needs of young people, the Tameside community and the wider economy of Greater Manchester. The first building is an Advanced Learning Centre which has been built on Camp Street in Ashton Town Centre. The Centre has been named Clarendon Sixth Form College and opened in October 2015. The second an Advanced Engineering and Technology Centre has been built on Stamford Street and opened its doors to students in September 2016.
